What Kophone can do on your device depends on several factors we do not control. We prefer to be clear about that upfront.
What affects availability
Android version
Modern Android versions expose more voice and assistant APIs. Older devices may not offer default-assistant slots.
Manufacturer customizations
Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and others apply battery, background and permission policies that can restrict assistants.
Application permissions
Each feature is tied to a specific permission you grant. Denying a permission disables the feature that depends on it.
Default-assistant support
Some regions or devices restrict the ability to set a non-Google assistant as default.
Third-party application restrictions
WhatsApp, banking and other apps may block automated interactions by design. Kophone respects those limits.
